California Salad

Avocado slices, mandarin orange sections and thinly sliced Bermuda onion are arranged on a bed of leaf lettuce. Salad is sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds and topped with creamy French dressing.

Ingredients -
1 Head Lettuce
1 Bermuda Onion
2 Avocados
1 can Mandarin Oranges, drained
Toasted Sesame Seeds
1 package Dry Creamy French Dressing (prepare according to directions on pkg.)
 
Preparation:

1. Make a bed of lettuce, neatly lay slices of avocado, oranges and onions in rows.

2. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

3. At last minute, pour a small amount of dressing over salad.

4. May also be made as a tossed salad, adding dressing just before serving.

Trim the stem and cut the avocado down the center lengthwise. Twist the two halves in the opposite direction from one another and pull gently apart. Remove the pit and discard.
